did you check out the rules on this thing? i saw it spammed a few places so i checked it out - it's pretty naff.

you have to send in an original track and a video of you making it, which makes sense.

"The Mix must contain live remixed originally recorded beats composed by the entrant whereas the Video will feature only the entrant composing those same beats that are featured on the Mix."
ok so the music has to be beats you recorded and are remixing live.

" recreate all of tracks live sans sequencers, except for drums (which can be looping when track/beat is playing)."
you have to be able to do that live or you're disqualified.

that's pretty specific for the type of producer they want, basically just DJs and people doing live mashups. seems kind of unfair, asking a producer to do a track live without a sequencer.

and then this part is just weird:

At each Regional Event and at the Finals, the competition will feature three (3) rounds where a Participant will compete directly against one (1) or more other Participants. In the first (1st) round, the Participants' beat exchange will utilize four (4) of the same records and each Participant will have to create their beats live with identical beats. The second (2nd) round will consist of the Participants competing against each other using the same pre-selected beat, but with the option of using any other records or samples they desire. The third (3rd) or final round will showcase the Participants' remix talents by requiring the Participant to either "chop up" one (1) of the twenty-five (25) pre-selected classic breaks or remix a song using a selection of acapellas.

you're required to battle-copy other peoples beats, but HOW? they say records, but then the whole thing is pretty vague on how you're required to do the live contest.
